Waterspring Blow (YUXI & LONGXI), which was once called one of the China 's Three bronze Unique, dates back more than a thousand years ago in Han Dynasty .
　Both of the vessels were named in accordance with different patterns of designs in their bottoms, where the YUXI has 4 fishes in its bottom, while the LONGXI is embedded with 4 dragons.   Made of smelting and founding bronze, YUXI & LONGXI can cause water sprays through friction and resonance, generating physical phenomenon as sound and water ripples. If you rub against both of the vessel's handle, the water surface will emerge regular ripples, then the water waves coming from both sides will collide with each other, producing standing waves to cause water spray, even up to 50cm at its highest, at the same time you can hear pleased sound produced by the vibration.
The process of YUXI water spray is like this: Put the vessel on a small table with soft material such as cloth or cotton under its base, pulling water into the vessel up to its upper half, then the performer rub against both handles of the vessel, the surface will appear different wave ripples according to different skills and techniques produced by the performer. If a performer has better skills, the vessel can not only send out an astonished and baffled sound, but also spray out water ripples, even up to 50cm from the 4 fish's abdomen.
